🏟️ Optimist Club pitches "Keswick Optimist Park"
The Optimist Club of Keswick has officially asked Town Council to rename the park and ball diamond beside Lakeside Public School. The proposed new name? "Keswick Optimist Park."
The request was presented at last Wednesday’s Council meeting (Feb 11). The club, which has been a staple of youth support in Georgina for decades, is hoping to have their legacy stamped on the diamond. Council has referred the request to staff for a report—so expect a final decision in the coming weeks.

🎣 Last Chance for Free Fishing
If you haven't dragged the hut out yet, today (Monday, Feb 16) is the last day of the Ontario Family Fishing Weekend. You can fish license-free on Lake Simcoe until midnight tonight.
Note: Ice conditions vary rapidly with this week's warm-up. Check local hut operators for safety updates before heading out.

If you didn't get enough tubing in today, The ROC is hosting a special "Night at the ROC" this Thursday, Feb 19, starting at 4:30 p.m. Sponsored by Team Trevor Realty, these evenings usually feature music, giveaways, and a slightly more "party" vibe on the hill.
