A 17-year-old girl was rescued from a submerged vehicle early Saturday morning in Georgina. She remains in life-threatening condition as police continue their investigation.

Georgina’s waste and organics contract is up for renewal in 2028. The Town is holding public consultations on Sept. 23 at The Link and the Multi-Use Recreation Complex.

From Oct. 5–11, Georgina Fire & Rescue will highlight lithium-ion battery safety—how to purchase, charge, and recycle these everyday items safely.

Bag Tag Exemption Week (Sept. 22–25)

Residents can set out up to five items without tags, including large items like sofas and chairs, during Georgina’s upcoming bag tag exemption week.
